GUZZI TROPHY and GENTLEMAN CUP 2012
Racing and entertainment in total safety.
Everything is ready for this fifth season! This is a really unmissable Moto Guzzi World Club event that it is growing in its importance year after year. The Trophy was started in 2008 with only 13 pilots taking part in it, and maybe the number 13 was a good luck charm for the Trophy, as in the last 4 years more than 100 "new pilots" took part in the competition, in its different categories. As a matter of principle "having fun in total safety in track racing” is strongly underlined by the Regularity formula, that allows all the Guzzisti to live all the emotions of a competition, both with their "Vintage" (more than 20 years) and “Modern” bikes. Technical checks, time trials, formation lap, installation lap, red/green light, starting signal, and the chequered flag are the ingredients of a really special emotion that will never be forgotten. It's hard not to be involved in, because everyone can run in the Regularity formula with his own regular bike. To take part in the Trophy the FMI race license is needed, you are only asked the certificate of medical fitness. Enrollment is cheap: the registration fee is about 100 Euro for the 2 sessions of time trials (20 minutes) of Saturday and Sunday morning, and for the competition of Sunday morning and afternoon. As usual,"the Guzzi spirit" will embrace you with a little bit of rivalry and some leg-pulling, but also with friendship, correctness and entertainment that will mark the track week end. It will be surely a nice occasion to meet and have fun, both for the riders and every Guzzista, to see the big Guzzis and to look around in the paddock chatting with the pilots. The Guzzi Trophy is therefore also a great moment to get together and a good pretext for many Moto Guzzi Clubs to organize an enjoyable day to be spent with their members.
Moto Guzzi World Club will have a reserved pit this year, that will act as meeting point and Welcome Desk for all the participants, and where the pilots will receive their competition kits.
